As a candidate, my personal conviction is that a school trustee sees herself or himself as someone entrusted with the responsibility to balance the needs and concerns of all stakeholders. These include:

• Students who must have the broadest opportunities to grow and learn so they can impact our society

• Parents who entrust their children to a public school and want to know that their trust is warranted

• Teachers who need to be equipped with the tools and the time to provide a great educational experience for the students

• Citizens who want to be assured that an even better educational environment is available for the youth of our community

• Taxpayers who value high quality education while wanting to ensure that their investment in public education is yielding the best possible return on their investment

• Administrators who provide a conducive environment for students to grow and learn

St. James-Assiniboia continues to be a great place for students to grow and learn. There are times however when a fresh set of ears are needed to hear from the various stakeholders and a fresh set of eyes are needed to see new opportunities.

I am asking you to entrust me with the responsibility to be your voice on the St. James-Assiniboia School Board.
